Lentil Soup

  • 1 cup of washed lentils
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
  • 4 chicken legs
  • 3 large green onions, chopped

In a 4-quart pot, boil the water, lentils, salt, chicken, garlic and chili powder. Reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the chicken legs and serve separately.
