Thinking outside the box

The other day I found myself having peanut butter on toast for breakfast, and not very excited about it. Seeing the back-up emergency cocoa mix (as opposed to the day-to-day cocoa), it seemed like maybe this could be mixed into the peanut butter to make some kind of ersatz chocolate nut spread. And I was right – the resulting mixture, spread on my toast, tasted just like ersatz chocolate nut spread.

  1. Secret is to spread the peanut butter, let it melt, then sprinkle the cheap hot chocolate on it.

Tastes reeses inspired, rather than “chocolate nut spread.” (There’s a reason they use hazelnuts!)
